Prediction: TikTok is and will continue to be THE social media app of the 2020s.

 

Downloaded almost 115 million times in March 2020 alone, the app has become a hub for culture and trends. Don’t believe us? Just look at the Music Industry and the effect TikTok has had on music streaming. A study held by the music-analytics company MRC Data found that songs that trend on TikTok often end up charting on the Billboard 100 or Spotify Viral 50. Furthermore, 67% of the app’s users are more likely to seek out songs on music-streaming services after hearing them on TikTok

On average, a user will spend 53 minutes on the app per day, with around 41% of users between the ages of 16 and 24. Owned by parent company Byte Dance, TikTok currently has 689 Million active users worldwide (That’s more than ten times the population of the UK). 

There’s no doubt that if you are looking to grow yourself and your business, TikTok is the place to be, especially if you have a younger audience. Tiktok is an opportunity for you to develop your brand in a personal and fun way that appeals to Gen Z and Millennial audiences.

Growing on TikTok can sometimes take time, but if the algorithm picks up your videos, you can very quickly see some huge numbers, sometimes overnight. Being able to grow an audience on TikTok sees more significant results than on any other platform in social media right now.
