Last night we headed down to the new offices and showroom of VIVOBAREFOOT in Clerkenwell to check out NY illustrator Bryan Christie and his designs for the eBook. This weekend sees the second London Running Show open its doors at Olympia. In the Runner's World theatre will be Vivobarefoot's very own Lee Saxby, who will be sharing his tips on the benefits of barefoot running. Using a running machine, video analysis and members of the public to demonstrate the transition from typical 'heel-toe shod jogging' to forefoot-barefoot running, this will definitely be one to watch. As well, his partner Tony Riddle will be on stage for a Pilates for Runners Q&A, where he will demonstrate 10 key Pilates exercises that prepare the body for running. If you pass a Terra Plana store this month you may notice something a little different in the window..As part of the London Design Festival three window installations by designers Henny van Nistelrooy and Inca Starzinsky have been commissioned. As the photos below show, a zoetrope effect is used to create an abstract animation covering the entire window. This is activated by the passer-by's own movement: it stops when you stop, moves when you move..you get the gist, hence the name 'Keep Moving'. The installations can be seen at the Terra Plana Covent Garden, Spitalfields and High St Kensington stores...
