‘Life & Soul’ by Sam Partaix

Sam Partaix is a dangerous man. Hideously talented on a plank (massive interview in Kingpin recently), decidedly good looking and with an unnervingly alluring french accent. As if he didn't have enough strings to his bow, he's decided to dabble in the arts. As documented earlier today on the blog, he's cleaned up recently at the Vans Downtown Showdown in Hamburg (oh, you can add that he's now minted to his ever expanding list of credentials), just one of many competitions he has cropped up and cleaned up in. Sam has decided to document his recent travels and has...

Vans - Coloured By Crayola

Yet another fly drop from Vans for this season: Vans - Coloured by Crayola. Crayola's seminal crayons are pretty much a staple of every kid's childhood; I remember spending countless hours scrawling some pretty killer works of art myself when I was a little tyke. I'll show them to you someday. If you're lucky. Here's a pretty crazy fact for you: Crayola produces a mind boggling 3 BILLION crayons each year, selling to over 80 countries. Anyway, this year Vans and Crayola get together to introduce the Vans Coloured by Crayola collection. You'll find Vans Classics styles capturing the intrinsically...

Pro-Tec Pool Party 2010

So as some of you might know, the annual Pro-Tec Pool Party went down this weekend at the Vans Skatepark in Orange, California. Here's some cheeky (and quite hefty) video of the pro finals: Bucky Lasek took home his second Pro-Tec Pool Party title in as many years before a capacity crowd Saturday night in a newly renovated Combi at the Vans Skatepark in Orange, CA.  Bucky claimed $30,000 with former winners Rune Glifberg and Omar Hassan placing second and third in a deep Pro Division final that featured charges by youngsters including 15-year old Brazilian Pedro Barros, 17-year old...
