Rook & Raven – ‘Brides on Fire’

Tonight sees the private view of  David Walkers fantastic solo exhibition 'Brides on Fire' at the Rook & Raven Gallery.  Working  in portraiture, painting freehand and using only spray paint, David's work has been exhibited in the UK and Internationally and aims to challenge preconceptions about fine art and urban art painting within the gallery confines and the public domain.  A formidable painter with a radical approach that blurs the boundaries of street and fine art, there is sure to be something here for everyone.   An installation of all spray cans used in Davids work will be on show to...rookraven550

Just Released ‘Open Air’ Episode 3.

The next chapter of the Open Air series takes place in Finland, where Cheryl gets some help with Eero Ettala in finding the best spots in Helsinki. Her trip then gets cut short as she is set a challenge from Terje Haakonsen, who wants her to compete in the Arctic Challenge in Oslo. Stop & Stare

Last night saw Brit electropop fivesome Fenech-Soler (pronounced Fenek-Soler, not Fenaaaysh-Solaaay as we may or may not have been calling them), make a real mess of London’s Koko. In a proper good way, thankfully. Emerging from the other end of a hectic festival season with still-crisper-and-tighter-and-whiter jeans than is humanly possible, London’s most iconic venue was treated to a tirade of tunes from the self-titled album, accumulating in silly-big glitter and paper cannons during Annie Mac-fave ‘Stop And Stare’.
