Insight have started collating everything they and their friends get up to on their new european blog, they are a hedonistic bunch so expect to see some fairly interesting material going up there and rest assured it'll be the first place they upload any new surf and skate footage. I'm off for a mosey around it now to see if there's anything I can steal for our blog, wish me luck......

Sam Partaix is a dangerous man. Hideously talented on a plank (massive interview in Kingpin recently), decidedly good looking and with an unnervingly alluring french accent. As documented earlier today on the blog, he's cleaned up recently at the Vans Downtown Showdown in Hamburg (oh, you can add that he's now minted to his ever expanding list of credentials), just one of many competitions he has cropped up and cleaned up in. Sam has decided to document his recent travels and has...

On Saturday, 14th August, Hamburg’s Red Light District hosted the biggest skateboard event the German harbour city has ever seen. Canoe were lucky enough to attend, soak up the amazing atmosphere and hang out with a few legends! Over 5’000 people visited the Spielbudenplatz throughout the day, witnessing nine of Europe’s best Skateboard teams battle it out against each other. €14’000 out of the €50’000 prize purse went to the days winning team: Element Europe. It wasn’t just the skaters having fun as the weather held out throughout the day, a thronging crowd of spectators and a high level...

If you don't think this is awesome then you don't know what's up. This cat is so cool it doesn't even know it, I bet if it could talk it would have the same voice as Zack Morris from Saved By The Bell. I used to dream of having a platoon of yaks to do my bidding. This cat, it seems, had far loftier plans. ...

Sometimes you just can't get a break in this game. Working in a place like this, there'll be times when you just have to accept that weekends are just no longer your own when there's work to be done. The latest example of this 'work' is when we ventured down to Boardmasters to absorb the good times, gorge on cream teas and witness the surf, bmx and skateboard contests taking place. In tow was The Daily Street to document proceedings and, inevitably, to pick us up when we fell. With Vans as one of the main sponsors of the...
