PUMA Shadow Society Preview – GTX States

For the 3rd and final drop of what is fast becoming an iconic pack from the Puma Shadow Society comes the GTX States. A Goretex tab secured onto the side of the tongue badge highlights this brilliant winterised twist on the iconic suede sneaker.

The PUMA Shadow Society is a tight knit, diverse group of characters drawn from all over the world. Taste makers and PUMA afficionados alike, the Shadow Society are authorities in the sneaker game and, through this project, have set out to redefine the meaning of sneaker ‘co-lab’.

Exploring what they feel is most relevant to consumers and their respective market, the Shadow Society were given creative control; dictating the colours, materials and degrees of branding throughout the pack.

Naturally, ‘The State’ was the iconic silhouette to receive the Shadow Society treatment. Adored around the world but so sweetly UK specific, the 80s saw the PUMA Suede become the ‘it’ shoe on the hip hop scene in New York City. As the music moved across the pond, the style did too. Aptly rechristened ‘The State’ after its birthplace, the shoe was adopted by both UK trainer connoisseurs and football fans on the terraces.

The reissue pays painstaking attention to detail and premium execution. The colourways are sublime, the accuracy both uncanny and appropriate, and the 40 plus years of international sneaker heritage unmistakable.

The last of the three Puma Shadow Society drops, launches at Wellgosh and other key retailers on 16^th December.
