Last night we were at the Columbia Omni-Heat launch at the London Premiere of Warren Miller’s Ski/Snowboard movie, ‘Winterviention’.
Being someone who doesn’t have much knowledge of winter sports (I was a sprinter), I didn’t know what to expect from the evening and the movie. There was a really happy vibe and all in attendance seemed to love the free drinks!
Stood behind the bar, these were a talking point of the night..
A few more of the night..
From about five minutes into the movie, I was drawn in. I now totally understand why people ski and snowboard. It’s a way of life, like a massive extended family! I remember one of the snowboarders saying that no matter what issues he has in his life, as soon as he hits the slope, all his problems disappear.
Some parts of the movie were shot beautifully, the scenery was incredible. I’ve travelled the world and seen some amazing sites, but after skydiving in New Zealand, I’ve not been able to get that rush again. I actually think that learning to snowboard, I might be able to get that excitement back!
The movie and the night was a total success and well done to those who won the Columbia jackets and backpack!
