Cancer Research released some very sobering stats through BBC News yesterday, confirming that Men's Skin Cancer has doubled in 30 years. Apparently, although more women are diagnosed, more men die from the disease. Unfortunately us brits are about as much of a stranger to the sun as cats are to a bag of bricks and a canal; and after the casualties that I saw in Victoria Park last weekend, it appears that hunting out the suntan lotion that you last used circa 1984 is the last thing you want to do when there's a bbq, football and a six pack...posted by Gossip Girl on 2010.04.16

K-Swiss CSC Event
To celebrate the launch of K-Swiss' new branding as the Californian Sports Company, K-Swiss hosted a most californian themed evening at the Private Lanes in All Star Bowling, Brick Lane. It was quite the evening if we say so ourselves. Customized K-Swiss decor? Check. K-Swiss bowling shoes? Check. Awesome bowling teams? Check. Lebowski style burgers, beers and white russians? Donation Day at Frame for Haiti Earthquake Survivors
Frame Studio in Shoreditch http://www.moveyourframe.com/ is making this Sunday ( Sunday 31 January) 'Donations Day' for the survivors of the Haiti Earthquake. In an effort to raise as much money as possible, all of Frame's fantastic instructors will be giving up their time for free to get you limbered up for the week ahead, and in exchange you will be donating the cost of however much you think the class is worth to a very important cause. K-Swiss go lala for the LA Marathon
Ha... geddit? Lala ....L.A... whatever. Anyway, Now that K-Swiss have launched themselves into the running market with aplomb, and some bloody great running shoes to boot, they will be sponsoring the LA Marathon on 21st March. Just working with K-Swiss makes me want to be a fitter person, and this is certainly one marathon that i'd like to run. Starting at the Dodgers Stadium the route will go via Hollywood Boulevard, Rodeo Drive - spot of shopping enroute? - and around Santa Monica Boulevard before finishing at the Santa Monica Ocean.
